History and background of Syco Sports of Tampa Bay and 2-Strokes for Different Folks:

I began riding motocross in 1979.  My first dirt bike was a 1977 Suzuki RM 125.

My education and experience repairing and servicing motorcycles began when I attended a motorcycle mechanics course from 1980 to 1982 at Pinellas Vocational Technical Institute in Clearwater, Florida.  I worked for Hub Suzuki and other cycle shops in Pinellas County, Florida from 1983 to 1986 until I opened and ran my own motorcycle repair shop, "Cycles Unlimited", from 1986 to 1989.  Since then I have been selling and parting out bikes and bike parts.

I have over thirty years experience working on many different makes and models of dirt bikes, vintage bikes and street bikes.  I network with other mechanics and salvage yards and own my own personal collection of vintage dirt bikes.

As a motorcycle race rider myself for many years and working on my own bikes as well as others, I have gained a vast area of expertise in motorcycle service.  I treat all bikes that come to my shop with as much care and attention as though they were my own.

I formed the company 2-Strokes For Different Folks in 2009 to service 2-stroke and 4-stroke dirt bikes.

In 2010, I formed the company Syco Sports of Tampa Bay in order to expand our services to include ALL dirt bikes, vintage bikes and street bikes.  (Refer to the Services List and Additional Services pages in this site.)

Our shop, is conveniently located at 461 88th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Florida.  Our hourly rate is half of what most dealers charge.

I have been racing the Florida Vintage Motocross circuit since 2005, Croom for thirty years, and Sunshine Motocross since it opened.  I have traveled and raced on many of Florida's premier tracks and am a dues paying member of Florida Vintage Motocross (FLVMX), American Historic Racing Motorcycles Association, (AHRMA), American Motorcycle Association (AMA), Croom and Sunshine Motocross.
